Double Two!

It's the 20th of November 2008.


Musicaholic was walking to the office in the morning.


Reached and found her division empty like her wallet...


Her manager and colleague were out for the company's organized seminar in Ritz Carlton (she knew this the day before already la)


So she was left alone in the office....


Because there are only 3 people in her division.


Accompanied with her 'darling'...


And then she found out that her lovely shoes were...






What a start for a birthday...



After 9 hours of calling companies and updating database, she finally went home happily...


She was walking carefully not to tear the shoes' soles away...


When she was in the intersection in her housing area, suddenly she felt something wrong with her right shoe...




Haihz...


So she walked with a sole-less right shoe and almost-sole-less left shoe home.


And she reached home safe and sound.



As the night come, she was waiting for her mummy and daddy to come home...


She watched TV, fell asleep for a few minutes on the couch then she heard someone trying to open the door...


Daddy's back!


Then not long after that, mummy's back!



She presented her with an ice cream cake! :D




Mom: I like the candles, cos it's double 2.

Me: .................





After awhile the family went out for a nice birthday dinner




Ya ya I know what you are thinking. Retarded right?


They had delicious dishes...


Started with the appetizer (complimentary)

It's char kuay! Deep fried and sugar-coated. Sweet! A bit too sweet for her liking tho.


And then the main dishes came...




And birthday must eat noodle wan, right?





Musicaholic became a sudden noodle master.




They are so delicious she couldn't tahan anymore....



Seemed that her daddy also couldn't tahan...


After a very filling dinner (they tapao half of the duck because their tummies were reaching the maximum capacity), they went inside a shop....and to Musicaholic's surprise....

Then they went home and it was camwhoring time with the cake!


She was so excited with the ice cream cake...you know la, she is a bit kampung. Never eat cake wan!



But but but....



The candle melted and stained the cake.... :(



But still, the family couldn't resist the cake...

Ok that's better. Although her daddy still looked like wanna dig into the cake straight away.



That was the end of the day. So let's wish her a...

Me : Nothing.

Ma : Eh, nothing ar? He didn't send you any package?

Me : Nope.

Ma : Then he's not coming to Jakarta for your birthday?

Me : No la. He's busy with his projects.

Ma : Ooo..Hahaha..I thought he will come here. His girlfriend birthday but he didn't come here. Hehehehehehe.


That's the rough translation la. Definitely my mum didn't talk in Manglish. She was speaking in Indo. I'm just translating it roughly. LOL :p

Internship...again...

I've started my internship at Frontier Marketing Consultant today.

The workplace is very near to my house. I just need to walk out of the housing complex, then cross the streets, walk into the shop-houses area, and there it is!

And I'm proud to be working there because Frontier is the best marketing consultant company in Jakarta :D

I'm not kidding, ok? See for yourself. Hehehehehe :)

Anyway, I'm working in the education division. Wanted to be in either the Event Management or Multimedia division, but couldn't as Education Division is the only place where the jobs can be cut-off. You get what I mean? It's like...in Multimedia, it won't take just 1 month to design a brochure etc right? and Event Management as well. How if I'm in the middle of doing an important work then I go and end my internship? They'll kill me. LOL

So my job is to update the database they have. It's not easy ok?!

Every month the company sent out around 2,500 training/seminar/workshop brochures to the potential clients, and for sure there will be a lot coming back to us. So I have to call those companies one by one, and ask the person there if the supposed-to-be-recipient is still working there or not, and updating the data.

And it's not only 10 or 20 or 30. It's 60+! Wait, almost 100 or more I think. LOL. So yea, telephone is my best friend in the office. So ke lian....

Mommy's Birthday!!!

1st of November marks the 54th birthday of my beloved mum!! :D



We had dinner in this old-style restaurant in Juanda area with Cintan and her parents (she's now becoming the only child as well as her sis and bro are away in Perth and Bandung. Lol)








This restaurant has been around for soooooo long. Even mum said that (she thinks) the last time she visited this restaurant was before I was born! 22 years ago wei!

The food was A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!


Each and every dish is FREAKINGLY GOOD!!!!


For starter, we had soup. Cintan and I chose the corn&crab soup while the rest chose asparagus&crab's

The soup is quite special because when you order corn&crab soup in other restaurants, you will find that the crab meat has already been torn into small pieces, but this one....



OMG damn big I tell you! The meat is so tenderrrrr and juicyyyyyy I like!! :D:D


Moving on to main dishes...

Tahu Tausi with Salted Fish

The sauce is so nice and the salted fish is so crunchy! A right combination! :D


Cintan and I especially looooveeeeeee this next dish:

MAYO PRAWN!!!

The taste isn't like those mayo prawn you find in other Chinese restaurants. This one is oh-my-god-sooooooo-damn-good I couldn't stop munching on them.

Butter-Fried Pigeons!

All of us loooooooveeeeeeeeee the sauce!! super delicious! We even pour it onto rice and eat them just like that. Yes, it IS that good!


Omg I really wanna go back to the restaurant at this very time! >.<>.<

The fact is, the prices here has always been oh-so-expensive (quoting Mum).

Cintan's mum : Hus! Jangan kenceng2! *while laughing*
(Hush! Don't la say that out loud!)


Bwahahahahahahahaha...all of us were laughing after that! Because there were 3 waiters standing behind our table. LOLLL don't care la. Hahahahaha


After a very satisfying dinner, we went to get some dessert...


RAGUSA ICE CREAM!! :D

Located not far from Sanur Restaurant, this is one of my favorite ice cream shops in Jakarta. Just like Sanur, this ice cream shop has also been around for sooooo long. Since 1932. Since the Dutch was still ruling in Indonesia. It has been a favorite for a lot of Jakarta-ers until today. I myself haven't visited this shop for quite long already. Maybe around 3 years? Hmm...


Crowded on weekends...

My favorite! Nougat flavor! with lotsa nuts :D:D

The other flavors are strong in milk taste...



Ok, so we're done with dinner and dessert. But we still didn't wanna go home yet. Lol. Wanted to go karaoke at first, but all of the places we called were FULLY BOOKED!!


Can la if we want to wait....but it'll be until either 11.30, 1am, or even worse, 2 am....


Forget about KTV then! So we hopped on for a movie instead! :D




Weeeheeeeeee~ The Other Boleyn Girl!!

It's really good! I love the story line, and particularly I loveeeee the settings and costumes!! I am always into those classic stuffs.

And about the story....well, watch it for yourself! Although it ended tragically, but still I recommend it! :)

Nice dinner, nice dessert, and nice movie.


We watched it at 11:45 pm, and ended at 1:30 am...


Shall we go KTV after that? :p

LOL we want la, but the parents were tired already so we went home.
